I am super excited to write this blog as I cannot tell you enough about this delicious smoothie recipe that I’m addicted to for my life.
If you are a person always wondering what to eat in a breakfast or find your breakfast boring then it’s really a time to indulge into this delicious mouth watering smoothie which is not just creamy and yummy but also a great super food for your body. It is also very convenient breakfast for people who are always on the go. So, don’t wait and kick start your day with this easy and quick breakfast recipe 🙂
The best thing about this smoothie is that you can enjoy it as dessert too. Seriously!!! And I’m not kidding.
Hope You have got enough good reasons to get into the recipe straight away 🙂 Checkout the list of ingredients you will need to make this divinely heavenly drink/dessert. I follow these measurements to yield two full Jars of smoothie.
- Four heaped tbsp cooked steel cut oats ( checkout my meal prep Part I for recipe)
- Soy milk (High in Protein)
- One or two ripe or frozen bananas
- One Pear OR Red Apple (Optional)
- Mixed Berries (Blueberries are my favourite)
- Nuts and Seeds of your choice – (I suggest to not to miss on Chia seeds)
- Half cup of greens ( Baby Spinach/COS lettuce/mixed salad lettuce)
- Half Avocado (Must have If you’re planning to have this smoothie as dessert)
- Two full scoops of protein powder (Rich chocolate flavour or a flavour of your choice)
Note – You can use organic cacao powder and maple syrup as a substitute for protein powder. You will need 2 tbsp cacao powder and same amount of maple syrup. For organic healthy food, I trust Macro Organic Products. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/discover/our-brands/macro
If you are making a smoothie just for your breakfast, use greens of your choice and skip avocado for now. Add all ingredients to your high speed blender and it should firm a creamy smooth consistency. You can add more soy/coconut milk for thin consistency. Personally, I love thick smoothies so that I can enjoy it with a spoon. I also love to make a smoothie bowl on weekends with extra berries and coconut flakes on top to get that rich look.
Dessert Smoothie Recipe
This dessert is not just a guilt free but also nutritious 🙂 Did I just say that? Voila!
This time skip your greens and instead add fresh avocado to your blender along with other ingredients. Please ensure to use a ripe and frozen banana and it will help you to yield creamy and delicious smoothie dessert. Mama Mia 😋
Keep the consistency a bit thicker this time. Place your smoothie in the freezer just half an hour before you want to dive into this delicacy. Final step is to sprinkle vegan, sugar free or any chocolate of your choice on your smoothie dessert bowl. Enjoy 🙂
Try it out. I promise you will not regret. Please feel free to share your feedback.
Till then, Like a Lime 🙂
